TALLAHASSEE, FL - G.C. Murray II, Esq., DPL has been named the Lynn Futch Most Productive Young Lawyer by The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division. Murray is a nationally recognized and reputable Tallahassee attorney, as well as the CEO and managing attorney of Association GC.
The Lynn Futch Most Productive Young Lawyer Award recognizes young lawyers who have worked diligently in Bar and law related activities, as well as maintained an excellent reputation for legal abilities and integrity. G.C. has been involved with The Florida Bar for over a decade and has held several leadership positions for the Florida Bar Leadership Academy, associations, committees, and was the youngest and first African American to serve as chair of the Florida Bar’s Code and Rules of Evidence Committee.

Murray, 34, is also the president and CEO of the Innovative Community Engagement Foundation, a nonprofit that uses unique approaches to inspire volunteers, many who are attorneys, to become more involved with community service. The organization is headquartered in Tallahassee and has chapters in Jacksonville, Miami, the Gulf Coast, Orlando, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
In 2012, G.C. launched his firm Association GC where he focuses his practice on advising
organizations such as trade associations and nonprofits. On a pro bono basis, he has helped with the creation and operation of several nonprofit organizations throughout the country. He also continues to work with the Florida Justice Association as its Special Counsel where he fights to ensure that Floridians continue to have access to justice and advises the organization on compliance issues, advocacy efforts, and programs focused on keeping the courts open for all those who seek redress.
G.C earned an undergraduate degree from Florida International University’s Honors College in 2008, then a law degree from Florida State University, where he was a Mason Ladd Scholar and a Calvin Patterson Scholar. G.C.’s stellar reputation has been building since he joined the Bar in 2012. His civic contributions have been recognized on multiple occasions by an array of organizations. He has won separate awards for mentorship, leadership, commitment to diversity, and volunteerism. Most recently, G.C. was honored as the Young Floridian of the Year by former U.S. Senator Bob Graham’s Center.
